Learning to Create

Great having you here!

This blog will be centered around learning awesome apps, programs, and technology that will help you stay on top of your creativity. There are so many programs available today with the ability to create amazing things whether it be images, text, sound, you name it. The possibilities are endless. However, it’s hard to keep track of it all and more, remembering how to use them.

I have always had a love for art and design but when I started exploring digital programs it allowed me to expand my own creativity. It opened up a world of excitement and possibilities to make something myself. But there was also frustration, I did not know how to physically make it happen. I felt stuck and I realized that I did not have the knowledge to actually create what I envisioned.

So, as an excited beginner, I tried to consume it all, I wanted to know it all. I sat for hours at a time reading or watching tutorials. There was always a big supply of new things to learn, new projects to try out, and new programs to master. I really loved it, learning something new, something that really excited me. The problem was that it was very easy for me to get lost in all the information I had consumed. Forgetting what I’ve learned, mixing things up, and always having to go back and look for the same things over and over again. There was just so much.

I still have this passion for learning but I have realized that to actually use all this information I need to structure it. The point should not be to remember it all but to have it ready when I need it. So I started to write down all that I know, cataloging and structuring it in a way that makes sense for me. I made tailored instructions and tutorials where the information is easily available so when I need a bit of information I can easily find it. To take this a step further I’ve now decided to create this blog where I can display this information. For myself but also for anyone else that will find it helpful.

I will always start at the beginning posting about the basics in any program and then work my way up to more advanced topics. This so that everyone from beginner to more advanced users will find helpful information and that the information is as complete as possible. If you want to learn from the start, if you just need some reminders of how to do something, or maybe you want to learn some new tips and tricks along the way. My hope is that everyone who is interested can find something helpful here.

I will start off with tutorials about Photoshop. It’s one of my favorite programs and the program that really made me fall in love with being creative digitally. But with time I am planning on expanding this and write about many more programs. All of them will be programs that I truly enjoy and believe will benefit us all in the long run.

I’m so glad that you are here and hope you will stick around. If you have any suggestions, ideas, or questions let me know in the comments below or send me an email at: elle@learningtocreate.com. I want to make this as useful as possible so all feedback is greatly appreciated.

See you in the next one,
